Simulation modeling of perennial fruit tree growth, structure, and physiology over multiple years is particularly difficult has lagged behind other crops because trees are indeterminate organisms that grow several growing seasons, vary widely among individuals, have their structures modified by variable pruning practices. Nearly 30 yr research been devoted to developing a mechanistic, virtual model simulate peach [Prunus persica (L.) Batsch] physiology. Details much this work published in papers variety journals couple decades. The goal review report on the entire project provide an overview approach we took such endeavor. This contains excerpts numerous previously some comments conclusions about value occurred.
